Just say pretty fun, and Easy if you know a few shortcuts. Wouldn't say its not hard just take you 5-20 minutes depending who you are.

When I first walked in here the first day, I was not that confident with photography. But now I feel better knowing how to use a camera and learning all these different modes and uses to make a shot/picture look nicer raw than adding effects in photoshop. These are some photos from beginning of the year to the end of the year to show how I improved taking these photos. Btw the third photo for the third was taken by me in Ann Arbor just added clarity in photoshop to make the color stand out nicer. Before / Beginning of the year Recent / After / End of the year The only way to do good or amazing in this class is to be on top of things or be ahead if you're not doing or the other you will not be successful because 1 missed photo assignment is 5-10 points if you don't do it or forgot to and even making it up you don't get all the points back.
Talking about this because not to sure what else to talk about but this is what I did, for the first month I was on top of things but then started to fade and stop and falling behind I wasn't doing nothing but retreading. and figured out that I needed to do photos and plan a day before you do it to go shoot. I could of done that better but didn't have time to do anything else because of other classes and hope that this could help some other students to do this method; Planning, Is key to success. then actually going out to take pictures. should helped wish I would of done that. This class wasn't hard just had to be on top of everything like I said. You should be good if you do that. This assignment is suppose to let you use your creativity to show you how to make 2 pictures into 1 and those 2 pictures make a word like a phrase using photoshop to blend the images or png's. For Visual Dictionary its just an image and a word with a definition of what you are trying to promote. The puns is fine if you can guess, they should be simple. For the Visual Dictionary I thought the first one which I created is kinda funny and true. The second one I could of done better but I think a word representing the Image speaks for itself.
For this assignment I did still life because I thought I didn't do food but I did, so... Calling this Still Life. Editing done is just Cropping and sharpness of 1 and B&W. ISO- 200 f/stops- 2.8 shutter speed- 1/20 turned the exposure up on the last one looks brighter than the other ones.
For this assignment, we had to take 1 good picture with a bounce card and some light and then 1 good one in the studio with a key light. So basically we did little editing in photoshop when we were done it was just rectangle command and fit the image of it and 5 inch stroke. make sure it was white to look like a photo. i did put paint dubes on the finish product and put 1 sharpness and 1 brush to look a bit nicer and crisp.
For photo 6 I did shadow and light. honestly didn't do it this weekend because of test and lots of studying and my brother's birthday so I did it yesterday. editing done is just exposure and some cropping. some of the images had digital noise, didn't notice till after but its fine. ISO is 400
shutter speed is 1/20 aperture is set at 2.8 for f/stops For this assignment we had to do 2 different tutorials and then the third you pick on your own. the first one dash of color was straight forward. The second one was Polaroid, which in that one, you had to make this effect in photoshop like it was multiple photos together. I didn't follow it because i knew how to do it but noticed after i finished it was black instead of a blur background that i choose off of unsplash. This is My Polaroid, but its I didn't take this photo used it off of Unsplash. For This next one, I did a tutorial of someone jumping threw a portal. its a manipulation effect, if done right, you can do it 2 ways, one you can pick one easy then hard or you can just hard . i did just 1 hard one. Tutorial: https://tutvid.com/photoshop-tutorials/flying-through-portal-photo-manipulation-photoshop-tutorial/https://tutvid.com/photoshop-tutorials/flying-through-portal-photo-manipulation-photoshop-tutorial/ . with an actual human flying threw looks better than a black figure.
I didn't do Photo 5 a nice job I think. I think I had a couple good ones out of the 30 I took. I Also choose food for this, I didn't have a meal planed so I just went up to Taco Bell and got a beef quaso. It looks/ looked better in person than photo.
NO EDITIING DONE I Did Arc of Ann Arbor on top of parking structures of other buildings so i guess you can say its more landscape/Arc, A wider angle of the buildings. iso: 200
aperture: 2.8 Liked the assignment but on the weekend didn't have too much time. could of done better. These are just in my opinion the best 3 pictures of of the rest of them. For this assignment I took 40 pictures of the skylight on Saturday and Sunday and did a panoramic view of all of them and put them into photoshop and merge them and put a filter on it. All of them are close to being the same but, I thought this one was good.

About MeI am 16, I live in Saline Michigan, and go to Saline High School. I am a graphics designer for GS but i do client work and get paid from various people doing that. Why I Choose Photography?
I took this class because I already had experience in image designing and something to do with camera taking and just because I wanted too. |
